FBT marks its entry into production of line-arrays with an innovative system offering the latest developments in true full-range line-array technology. The FBT MODUS Line Array System addresses the problems for those forced to use traditional constant directivity systems, because of the high cost and difficulty of use of conventional line array systems. The MODUS solution involves the grouping of 4 modules into a single enclosure that's no larger than one traditional 2-way speaker enclosure. This design produces vertical and horizontal dispersion patterns already optimized to effectively meet a broad range of sound reinforcement requirements, from small to midsized live touring as well as permanent installations. The New FBT MODUS Series modules (Precision Coverage Vertical Array) are very competitive in cost and are extremely easy to use. No compromise has been made in terms of quality or performance. The absence of disruptions in the source of the upper-mid frequencies (inevitable in conventional CD multi-enclosure array applications) and the definition of the vertical angle coverage at the project development phase, allows for improved evenness and coherence of the wavefront throughout the waveguide, thereby perfectly modelling a cylindrical wave. The system is composed of two full range line-array enclosures, the MODUS 15 and MODUS 40 and a band-pass subwoofer, the MODUS SUB, with all being flyable with the easy to use built-in hardware. The two array modules have different shapes in order to cover 90° x 40° and 90° x 15° dispersion angles, and can be used either singularly or in tandem to form a J-Array that's able to evenly provide 90° horizontal and 55° vertical angles. The MODUS SUB subwoofer can be suspended or ground stacked, and provides additional low-frequency response. Although the maximum performance is obtained when flying the array modules, it is also possible to ground-stack the MODUS 15 and MODUS 40 with an optional stand base, or to place one MODUS 15 enclosure on top of a MODUS SUB. |
