at  the 2008 ASHCON Convention at Club Med, Port St. Lucie, FL.

Classic U.K. Rock band WISHBONE ASH rocked the audience at their Annual "ASHCON"
convention taking place on September 4 - 6, 2008 at the Ballroom at Club Med, Port St.
Lucie, FL.  Wishbone Ash just celebrated their 39th. yr. anniversary and has more than
30 albums and DVD's to their credit. Formed in England in 1969, they are known as the
originators of  the TWIN LEAD Guitar Harmony Sound.

The 3 night  front of house sound for this event was powered by a FBT QUBE AUDIO
System consisting of QUBE QSA 112  2 way Line Arrays,  QUBE QS 118 subwoofers,
and QUBE  PA - 360 Power Amplifiers with Qube SP -26 digital processors.
The on stage monitoring system consisted of Qube QM -115 floor monitors powered by
QUBE PA -300 power amps, FBT Verve 15ma powered floor monitors, and FBT Maxx 6a
 powered monitors.
Stage Side fills and Drum Monitors consisted of FBT Maxx 10sa powered subwoofers,
and FBT Verve 152a powered 2 way speaker systems.

A FBT FORMULA 328 - 36 channel Mixer  was featured as the Front of House console
and a FBT FORMULA  248 - 28 channel mixer was used as the Stage Monitor mixer.

Original WISHBONE ASH founding member,  guitarist / vocalist Andy Powell had
these comments regarding the FBT / Qube Sound System :

"Absolutely perfect well balanced sound throughout the ballroom and on stage.
The Qube QM 115 floor monitors were simply astonishing, quite possibly the clearest
and best sounding floor monitors I've ever used, not woolly sounding whatsoever."
"In my long career of touring and playing hundreds of venues around the world this FBT
and Qube sound system was certainly one of the best sounding systems I've used."
"The Qube systems SPL was also amazing, especially accounting for its compact size."
"Kudos also to the new FBT Formula mixing consoles that were used for the mains
and for the on stage monitoring systems, I'm sure they also contributed to the overall
 quality of the mixes."

"In the past few years I've also had the opportunity to use the FBT Maxx 2a, 4a and 6a
powered speakers in pubs and smaller venues as mains and as floor monitors, there're
the best sounding plastic boxes made by anyone, anywhere ."
"Now that FBT is again making guitar, bass guitar amps I am eager to give them try as well,
especially the tube based Cicognani "Imperium" series amps, with their 6 distinctive
different amp sounds and midi switching capabilities."

"FBT personnel has told me I'll soon be retiring my Mesa Boogies, Fenders and Marshalls
after playing the Imperiums, which they tell me will give me all of their sounds and more
and that the Imperiums do this in a analog format with selectable tube circuitry, and not
with digitally modeled sounds"
"Well that's a big statement and I guess I'll soon find out."
